The floor can t have too much deflection and you have to install the tile properly per the installation product manufacturer s direction and per industry.
Personally i wouldn t lay down cement board as then you have to use a cement tile setting compound which doesn t flex if your floor does which leads to cracks and tiles lifting.
1 st the base sub floor of these homes are prone to movement or future sagging.

Hi everyone i am a competent diy er and have undertaken a re furb on a park mobile home everything is going well and i am soon to undertake tiling the bathroom i have had various suggestions regarding the best way to successfully do this the walls are pretty flexible and apart from inside the shower enclosure which has been overboarded they have just been stripped of the original wallpaper.
As long as the substrate is properly constructed to be stable and the tile is installed correctly it can perform well.
